Baseline bloods before or early in a pregnancy establish iron, thyroid function and immunity, which is what later results are compared against. Collection is in this building, so it happens at the same visit as the consultation. Baseline bloods are collected at the same visit as the consultation. Woonona patients travel north. Baseline bloods are taken here at the first visit, so the pregnancy starts with a known starting point rather than assumptions.
