How it works

How we deliver

Book with the practice nurse or your GP. Tell reception which vaccines you needtravel courses need more time and planning.

Bring your records. Your immunisation history, or your child’s blue book, helps confirm what is due.

Consent and administration. The vaccine is explained, consent taken, and the vaccine given.

A short wait. You will be asked to remain at the practice for around 15 minutes afterwards, as is standard practice.

Recorded to the register. Vaccinations are recorded to the Australian Immunisation Register.

Our doctors are independent practitioners and set their own fees. Reception can advise the fee policy of the doctor you are seeing, but cannot confirm the exact amount before your visit — your doctor selects the Medicare item number on the day, based on the length and complexity of the consultation. Vaccines funded under the National Immunisation Program are provided at no cost to eligible patients. Travel vaccines and other privately funded vaccines are charged separately, and a consultation fee may also apply. Travel vaccination courses can take several weeks to complete — book well before you depart. Fees are payable on the day by EFTPOS or credit card. We can transmit your Medicare claim electronically so your rebate is returned the same day.

What are your opening hours?
8:30am–4:30pm Monday to Friday, closed public holidays. After hours: Radiodoctor Illawarra 4228 5522 (bulk-billed home visit or telephone), or the Urgent Primary Care Centre at Bulli Hospital 4249 1300.
I need a quick appointment, can you fit me in?
A small number of same-day appointments are set aside — ring reception on 4202 6900. Sick children and pregnant women are prioritised.
What are the best parking options?
Public car parks on Railway Pde, on Station St over the railway bridge, and the large public car park on Church St.
How are fees set?
The doctors are independent practitioners who set their own fees; reception can advise each doctor's fee policy before your visit.
Are vaccines free?
Vaccines funded under the National Immunisation Program are free for eligible patients. Travel and other privately funded vaccines are charged, and a consultation fee may apply.
How far ahead should I book travel vaccines?
As early as you can. Some courses require several doses over a number of weeks, so a last-minute appointment may not give full protection.
What should I bring?
Your immunisation history — for children, the blue book — and your travel itinerary if you are being vaccinated for travel.
Do I need to wait afterwards?
Yes, you will be asked to stay at the practice for around 15 minutes after your vaccination.

Do you provide travel vaccinations?
Yes — book a travel health appointment well ahead, as some courses need several weeks to complete.

Yes — vaccines including whooping cough and influenza are recommended in pregnancy to protect you and your baby.
Are my vaccinations recorded?
