How we deliver

Book confidentially. You do not need to explain the reason for your appointment to reception.

Discussion. Your GP talks through your history, what you are looking for, and the options available.

Testing or procedure. Screening samples can be collected on site. Contraceptive procedures such as Implanon insertion are booked as a longer appointment.

Results, handled discreetly. Your GP will agree with you how results are communicated.

Follow-up. Treatment, repeat scripts or device review is arranged as needed.

Our doctors are independent practitioners and set their own fees. Reception can advise the fee policy of the doctor you are seeing, but cannot confirm the exact amount before your visit — your doctor selects the Medicare item number on the day, based on the length and complexity of the consultation. Contraceptive procedures have their own item numbers, and the device itself may be an additional cost — your GP will explain before anything is arranged. Sexual health and reproductive health consultations are exempt from some Medicare telehealth restrictions, so a rebate may be available even without a recent in-person visit. Fees are payable on the day by EFTPOS or credit card. We can transmit your Medicare claim electronically so your rebate is returned the same day.

What are your opening hours?
8:30am–4:30pm Monday to Friday, closed public holidays. After hours: Radiodoctor Illawarra 4228 5522 (bulk-billed home visit or telephone), or the Urgent Primary Care Centre at Bulli Hospital 4249 1300.
I need a quick appointment, can you fit me in?
A small number of same-day appointments are set aside — ring reception on 4202 6900. Sick children and pregnant women are prioritised.
What are the best parking options?
Public car parks on Railway Pde, on Station St over the railway bridge, and the large public car park on Church St.
How are fees set?
The doctors are independent practitioners who set their own fees; reception can advise each doctor's fee policy before your visit.
Is my appointment confidential?
Yes. Consultations and results are confidential, and you do not need to give reception a reason for your booking.
Can I get an Implanon inserted here?
Yes. Implanon insertion and removal, and IUD removal, are available. These are booked as longer appointments and the device may be an additional cost.
Can I access PrEP?
Yes, our doctors can prescribe PrEP. Your GP will discuss the monitoring involved.
Can this be a telehealth appointment?
Sexual and reproductive health consultations are exempt from some Medicare telehealth restrictions. Ask reception when booking — examinations and procedures still need an in-person visit.
Do you provide STI screening?
Yes — confidential screening and treatment for sexually transmitted infections.
Is my visit confidential?
Yes. Your consultation and results are confidential, in line with our privacy policy.
Do you prescribe PrEP?
Yes — PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV) can be prescribed and monitored.
How often should I have an STI check?
This depends on your circumstances — your GP can advise what's appropriate for you.
