If a spot has features that warrant a biopsy, it is excised and sent to pathology instead, and that decision is made before any nitrogen comes out. Suitability is assessed before treatment, so nothing that needs a biopsy is frozen instead. A few minutes from Bulli. The important step is the one before the freezing: your GP checks that the spot is suitable, because something needing a biopsy should never simply be frozen.
